Paul Rodriguez, also known as ‘P-Rod’ was recognised as a prodigy at a young age of 14, only two years after he started skating. His consistency, effortless style and persistence on his board led Paul to travel far from his home town of Northridge, CA to the City Streets around the world as part of the Legendary City Stars team. His passion for skating and filming with his friends led to his breakout video part in Logic 6 in 2000, Street Cinema in 2001 and landed him Rookie of the Year  in 2002 for his part in Transworld’s video production “In Bloom.” He turned pro later that year.

P-Rod was one of the first skateboarders to form the Nike skateboarding team, and later, Paul was the first skateboarder to be endorsed as an official Nike Athlete, as well as the first Mexican-American to earn a signature shoe for Nike. Paul’s 9th Signature nike shoe became an instant sneaker icon when it was released featuring Michael Jordan’s signature “Elephant Print” leather and Jumpman logos, a privilege bestowed on less than a handful of athletes in Nike’s history. This year Paul will launch his 10th signature shoe with Nike, an accomplishment that has set him apart from the rest of his peers. In 2004, he won his first of 3 Gold Medals in the X Games, setting in motion a legacy of podium appearances which have most recently included a first place at the 2016 Street League contest in Munich, Germany as well as a repeat win of the award-winning site The Berric’s “Run & Gun” contest (Paul also won in 2015) a contest which pitches the industry’s top pros against each other in a head to head contest where the winner is voted for via internet poll.

Son of famous comedian and actor Paul Rodriguez Sr., Paul’s sense of humour and acting abilities proves that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. When he’s not skateboarding, Paul has featured in several TV shows, a movie, and runs his social media platforms which have become along the largest in the action sports community. Paul is also quite the entrepreneur, owning a stake in Primitive Skateboarding, Villager Coconut Water, Saint Archer Brewery and Andale Bearings. Throughout the skateboarding community, Paul is known not only for his progressive cutting edge skills on the board but also his humble, approachable personality off the board that gives back to his fans as often as possible.
